Alex Yates Engineering combines 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machining with the engineering work that often sits around the machined part. The Devon team can work from STEP and IGES data, produce or reverse-engineer drawings, manufacture components and then coordinate finishing, inspection, jigs, packaging and assembly. That makes the business particularly useful for projects where the requirement is more involved than simply cutting a supplied model, while still retaining direct CNC capacity for made-to-drawing production. Its published manufacturing capability also lists CNC Machining, CNC Milling, CNC Turning, and Multi-axis Machining (3-axis, 5-axis), adding further detail to the processes available from the Exeter operation.
