Stead & Wilkins is a Crayford engineering manufacturer established in 1973. Its public capability spans sheet-metal fabrication, fibre laser cutting, CNC machining, milling and turning, with painting available as a finishing operation. The company works with materials including aluminium, alloy steel, stainless steel, copper alloys and engineering plastics. Manufacturing is carried out from Jolly Farmers Wharf in Kent, supporting prototype work as well as batch production across both fabricated and machined components. The combination of machining and fabrication capability gives the business scope to produce both precision-machined parts and fabricated metalwork within the same manufacturing organisation.
