Swissmatic operates from Wishaw, providing high-precision CNC turned components. Swissmatic operates a fleet of CNC lathes with opposed spindles and driven tooling, producing components from prototypes through to very high-volume schedules. The company explicitly machines stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and engineering plastics. Swissmatic states that it was formed in 1980 and manufactures around the clock from its Wishaw facility. Its components are used across electronics, mechatronics, telecommunications, computer, connector and instrument applications. The company handles manufacturing enquiries through its own UK operation, with its published plant and process capability forming the basis of the work it undertakes.
